Are you a phD student who would like to commercialize your research project in fintech?
Fintech Cadence is proud to collaborate with V1 Studio as a Fintech stream partner to help PhD-led innovation bring research to market through the Scientific Venture Program. This 2-year program is dedicated to supporting PhDs and postdoc candidates as they move their innovation beyond the lab and venture into entrepreneurship.

What you get
- Financial Support
A package that includes training, access to facilities, coaching, workshops and more as well as a $40,000 stipend, $40,000 stipend—all valued at approximately $71,000 annually.

You will be assigned a PI and an advisory panel to help you refine the technology that will be at the core of your venture.

- Resources & Facilities
Receive access to space, meeting rooms, research facilities and more.
- Recent PhD Graduate (within the last five years) or about to conclude their doctoral program in the next 6 months.
- High proficiency in English.
- Willingness to register or incorporate the startup in Canada.
- The technology underlying the solution must be at least a level 4 on the technology readiness scale.
